Problems with Android 3.1 tablet and connecting to encrypted file store

Hi, Whilst connecting to BoxCryptor using Xoom tablet, an error occurs "Unexpected Token (position:TEXT ({"error": "Inter... @2:1 in java.io Inputsreamreader@xxxxxxx)"
The connection to dropbox works fine, it is when I select the encrypted file store that the error occurs.

Running android 3.1, should it work with that setup?

Hi Nick,
BoxCryptor for Android should run fine on Android 3.1 - at least it does in the simulator. Unfortunately we don't have a Motorola Xoom to test it ourselves. It would be great if you could send us your system logs just after the error occurs (you can use the app Log Collector for this). Just post them here or by email at contact at boxcryptor com.

I am running the trial version of Boxcryptor on a Lenovo Android tablet, which is running 3.1. I can confirm that everything runs fine. I will get the paid version as soon as the local cacheing is sorted out - I need to know I have the files available when I want them.

@cjwilber: We have reports from other users with Lenovo K1 tablets that they could not buy the Unlimited Key. This is (very likely) caused by Lenovo's decision to have it's own app store. We're investigating how we can make the Key also available to users who can not purchase it via Android Market.

I've just tried buying from the market using my Thinkpad, and it allowed me to do so on the third attempt. I do find that the Honeycomb version of the market is pretty dreadful in that it often allows you to start making a purchase, but gets stuck in the "Waiting to install" phase. If you try several times it eventually works, often at the expense of you being unable to claim a refund because it thinks you have purchased, cancelled, then repurchased.
Rather than asking for refund from the market, I'll trust that you're going to get the cacheing sorted out now that I have paid for the app :-)

I can't get any files to upload. I can select them, then I get returned to Boxcryptor window, where a small black box appears on screen for a couple of seconds. The box is a notification box, but has no words in it.
This is on android 3.1

Could you do me favor? Please install the app "Log Collector" ( https://market.android.com/details?id=com.xtralogic.android.logcollector ) and run it directly after the problem occurred. Please post the log in here or send it to me at contact at boxcryptor dot com. This would really help finding the cause for the problem.

From which app are you selecting the files to upload?

I've tried various apps - Gallery, ES File Explorer, Docs To Go. I'm downloading now, and will post as soon as I've got a minute to retry uploading.

I just wanted to report that this problem is now resolved. I've been really pleased with how responsive the developers have been on this.
