BoxCryptor 1.1.0.0 created an E drive on Windows 7

Hi,
I just installed BoxCryptor 1.1.0.0. I selected E drive, so it created an E drive on Windows 7. However, I also told it to encrypt my c:\personalfolder. So I am confused. Are both E: drive and c:\personalfolder encrypted? They both have different files in them.

Hi ihot,

all files you store in the E: drive will be encrypted by BoxCryptor and stored in encrypted form in the folder C:\personalfolder - this folder is like the "storage area" of BoxCryptor and you should not save files to this folder directly.

You can open and save files in the E: drive just as in any drive on your computer - in the background BoxCryptor reads and writes the encrypted data from/to your folder C:\personalfolder.

That makes sense. So what you are saying is that I have to copy my files to E: drive and not to :\personalfolder? BoxCryptor will encrypt my files and place them in encrypted folders
