As announced earlier in this forum, we have a release candidate for version 1.2 of BoxCryptor for Windows which we'd like to share with our community! Here's a list of the important improvements:
* Support for multiple encrypted folder at once so you can have mounted more than one encrypted folder. (Unlimited only)
* Advanced mode for modifying advanced options, mounting and unmounting of volumes, etc.
* Wizard for creating and opening encrypted folders which makes BoxCryptor even easier to use and avoids some critical problems (e.g. accidentally overwriting the .encfs6.xml file).
* Performance improvements so that using the BoxCryptor drive should feel a lot faster now.
Important: This is a release candidate, not a final version! Although we think it is stable enough to be released, please use it at your own risk. We strongly recommend to make a backup of your encrypted files before installing this version.
You can download BoxCryptor for Windows v1.1.9 here:
It would be great if you could try this release candidate. We'd love to hear your feedback!
PS: The BSOD problem some users are experiencing is not yet solved in this version, but the code changes in this version prepares everything for it to be solved.
