I put my boxcryptor image in my dropbox folder. and when i chck that folder on dropbox.com it is just a regular folder that I can access and download all its content with no password. Shouldnt it be like a file or something?!
BC encryptes ever file alone, just download a file a file form dropbox.com and open it and you'll see that it is encrypted.
ah okay, so what actually is not "safe" inthe sense of noone except me knows it is the filenames and number of files...

BoxCryptor encrypts the contents of the files (and in Unlimited also the names of files). Metadata like size or last modified date cannot be hidden.
