This is not a valid BoxCryptor Folder

I'm using Mac Version 1.0(2) with OSX 10.7.4. After creating a new BoxCryptor folder on my google drive it sais: "This is not a valid BoxCryptor Folder....wait until the whole folder has been synchronized and try again".

Waiting does not help...am I the only one with that problem?

in general the error "This is not a valid BoxCryptor Folder...." means that the .encfs6.xml file which is needed for BoxCryptor has not (yet) been synchronized to your computer.
So please make sure that the .encfs6.xml file is located in the BoxCryptor root folder. If you have unintentionally deleted this file you maybe can recreate it using the restore/history function of your cloud storage provider.

Hello Boris

I created a BoxCryptor folder on my Windows 7 System on the google drive. This is working.

Then I tried to add this new folder on my Mac. Adding is working. But Mounting does not work. No error messages. I click mount but nothing happens.

Are there any log files?

I can see the xml file in finder when i click "show package contents". I can also open this xml file.

Just created another Admin User on my Mac. Same problem here: but I get an error message when mounting:
mount_osxfusefs: failed to mount /Volumes/BoxCryptor@/dev/osxfuse0: Operation not permitted

Hi I have the same trouble on my mac.
I installed and followed exactly all the steps but still impossible to attribute a folder unless the folder created looks different with a cadena on it.

For young beginners [and I am one (and more, I'm French)], one must first differentiate the volume (BoxCryptor) and folder (BoxCryptor).

If Mr Boxcryptor had been kind enough to provide us with recognizable names and symbols, it would have simplified things for everyone.

And if after, Mr Boxcryptor could answer one question given below (2 days ago): "how can we encrypt the contents of a symbolic link (symlink)" . . . I'd be delighted.
