Mac OS Mountain Lion compatible?

Hello all-,

in July Apple will release Mac OS Mountain Lion. Will BC prepared and compatible for it from the beginning?
Is there an update necessary and it's better to wait?

Hi Michael,

in our first tests with BoxCryptor for Mac OS X and Mountain Lion everything worked just fine and we did not notice any problems. We'll conduct more tests before the release of Mountain Lion, but I'm quite sure that BoxCryptor for Mac OS X works just fine without any update.

Dear Robert,

Meanwhile I intended to test BoxCryptor on Mountain Lion, but I was unable to do that. The reason is that the installer package has not been signed by BoxCryptor. Therefore it is not possible to install BoxCryptor on Mountain Lion.
I am ware of that it is possible to change the system setting in order to allow unsigned packages. But this is not my intention.

So I would appreciate it if you could provide a signed installer package.

Hi Torsten,

although the BoxCryptor Installer was signed with our Thawte Code Signing Certificate, this is not sufficient in Mountain Lion. The new Gatekeeper feature requires an application to be signed by special Developer Certificates issued by Apple.

We have just released version 1.0.2 of BoxCryptor for Mac OS X which is now signed by our Apple Developer Certificate and can be installed on Mountain Lion without having to change the system setting. You can download it here:
