Feature request: Web Interface

Happy paying client here - I am using BC to have all of my data in DP encrypted as backup in the cloud. Here is one request: Is there a chance that we get a BC web interface, so that we could have access to the right files even on PCs where we dont have BC/DP installed? Maybe just an interface to decrypt the filename, so that we know which exact file to download if we need a specific one.

Would that be possible?

We're researching possibilities regarding web interface access. Can't promise anything, but first results are looking good.

Sounds promising. Keep it up. I just converted myself to a Pro user in DP because of the strong combined benefit from DP and BC together.

Sorry to dig out this very old thread. But here you told that you are working on a web interface access to download / view encrypted files for example in an internet cafe.
Two years ago you said you are working on it and first results are looking good.

Was there any progress?

I'm just trying out Boxcryptor and this is the one thing that's withholding me from buying the Unlimited version (I have four devices so there's no way going with the free one. Apart from that I see file name encryption as a must)

Technically the web interface worked perfectly, but in the end there were too many security-related problems (e.g. storing access tokens for the cloud providers on our servers, etc.). Instead we have decided to provide a plugin (in beta) for Google Chrome which can be used to access encrypted files via the browser - although this might not work in an internet cafe.
