although the "Check for Updates automatically" option is activated and the macs are restarted almost once a day, I had v1.0.2 on one and 1.0.3.on the other ones without getting notified about the update..

The update notifications are rolled out in "waves". So if the one Mac does not get an update notification it is not in the current wave and will be notified later. Nevertheless you can download the current version manually and install it over the old version.
