anyone knows a better product also doing filename encryption?

Hi all,

whoever recommends me a better encryption product doing file name encryption gets my BoxCryptor license for free!
I am fed up with this product! Started yesterday a sync of ca. 15.000 files (250 MB)
and right now there is 8% done, 184 hours remaining! From a VPS in USA (at least 10 Mbps) to Strato HiDrive. Doing the same w/o BC takes around 6 hours.

One could put up with that if that mapped drive would slow down the whole machine, but especially any file operation, to an unusable state.

Hi Joe,

I'm sorry if BoxCryptor does not meet your expectations. As I posted in another thread, SMB over (high-latency) WAN has serious performance problems as described here:

Nevertheless, we're doing our best so that BoxCryptor also works with SMB shares over WAN and we'll continue to work on the improvement of this performance.
