Padlock Icon in Version 1.4

I have just upgraded to version 1.4 and everything is working well.
My only gripe though is that it is not as clear when an encrypted folder is open from the icon. 1.4 seems to just popup a little bit from the closed position whereas in earlier versions the arm would be rotated 90 degrees. It was much easier to see.
Is this normal of is there a bug?

It's normal and on-purpose.

OK, I'm glad it isn't due to any conflict with something else on my system but I really think it was better having the old operation. It was much easier to see the state of the program.
