I can't seem to get Spotlight to work with my BoxCryptor volume on Mac OSX. I tried
sudo mdutil /Volumes/BoxCryptor -i on
but got the error message "Could not resolve path `/Volumes/BoxCryptor'.

Its still not working. I'm using:
Boxcryptor 1.05 (7)
Fuse 2.5.4
Mac OS X Mountain Lion
If i try to mount a volumen with the spotlight option enabled I get the following error:
Unexpected Error
mount_osxfusefs: failed to mount /Volumes/B&C@/dev/osxfuse0: Operation not permitted

Spotlight feature requires an admin account/admin rights. This is why you get the error. We are trying to find out a way of making it possible for all users.
Best regards,
Adrian.
Hi Adrian,
thanks for the reply. Your right, I'm not working with the admin account on my mac. I hope you will find a way, spotlight os very important to find my files :)
The only way of making Spotlight work atm, will be to require for admin credentials before mounting, which means we'll still require admin rights, but you won't need to be logged-in with the admin account.
Best regards,
Adrian.
Hi,
This worked for me after following the support article a while ago but now it no-longer works even after re-adding with the spotlight enabled option. I'm getting:
bash-3.2# mdutil -i on /Volumes/DropCrypt
/Volumes/DropCrypt:
Error: unable to perform operation. (-405)
bash-3.2# mdutil -E /Volumes/DropCrypt
/Volumes/DropCrypt:
Error: unknown indexing state.
Is this caused by Mountain Lion or the version of FUSE or BoxCryptor? It used to work but I'm now running:
OS X 10.8.2
FUSE 2.5.2
BC 1.0.5 (7)
Is it possible to downgrade anything to get this working again?
Thanks,
Mezzanine

Hi Mezzanine,
we are getting a similar issue, but with our beta version of BoxCryptor. It's interesting to note that the current version of BoxCryptor, ver. 1.0.5, also the one you are running, works fine for us. The only difference is that we are using OS X FUSE 2.5.4. Yours look like 2.5.2, so you could try again after updating to the latest OSX FUSE version.
Best regards,
Adrian.
Hi,
this should be fixed in BoxCryptor for Mac 1.1 (Release Candidate 1).
