OS X crash

I've tried twice to start BoxCryptor, and both of the times the whole OS X crashed immediately after I entered the password. Yes, *the whole of OS X crashed*. I got the black screen, a screen telling on different languages that something bad happened, then a reboot. Huh? I dare not to try a third time. The BoxCryptor volume opens fine on my iPad.

OK, what I did was that I killed the BoxCryptor with Activity Monitor, then removed the old BoxCryptor.app from /Applications, then installed a new version from the website. (I didn't remove any data files from Library/, etc). Now it works again. But it was quite strange that one program has the power to bring the whole system down.

Hi Juranta,

yes, it's not usual for apps on OS X to cause system shutdowns, but it might happen when an app uses a library that loads kernel extensions / drivers. In our case this library is OSXFUSE. Would be cool if you could send us all BoxCryptor and OSXFUSE related crashlogs. Still this shouldn't happen too often. The problem was fixed for you most probably because the updated version of BC also installed a newer version of OSXFUSE.
