Yes, the same problem happens with 1.5. One difference (I think) is that simply copying the "corrupt" file out of BC 1.5 on to my desktop allows it to open. Copying it back into BC 1.5 makes it "corrupt" again. BC after 1.3.2 seems to be incompatible with Quickbooks (version 2011).
Hi,
I just tried to reproduce your problem with the latest version v1.5.405.138 of BoxCryptor and Quickbooks Enterprise 2013 (hard to find Quickbooks 2011) but everything worked just fine and I could open and save Quickbook files from/to the BoxCryptor Drive without any problem.
Could you please post the debug file here or open a ticket in our support system and send us a debug file there? Our support system is at http://support.boxcryptor.com
To create the debug file do the following:
1) Quit BoxCryptor
2) Type into the Windows startmenu "boxcryptor.exe /debug"
3) Reproduce the error
4) Quit BoxCryptor
5) The "BoxCryptor.log" is located on your desktop
Thanks,
--Robert
OK, I sent you the log through the forums. I will update this forum post if we figure something out (hopefully I will not have to upgrade to Quickbooks 2013, but that may be an option if all else fails).
ISSUE RESOLVED:
This fixed the problem. In Quickbooks go to:
File > Utilities > Stop Hosting Multi-User Access and follow the on-screen prompts.
You can then open up a Quickbooks file in a BC container.
For whatever reason, a change from BC 1.3.2 to BC 1.4 (and 1.5) causes Quickbooks Mult-User Access to throw an error message. Turning off this feature fixes the problem.
Mult-User Access is not a feature I need so this is not a problem for me.
(If anyone wants to look further at this issue you should be able to re-create the issue by turning this feature on.)
Glad that the problem could be solved. Just out of curiosity: Could you try if mounting the BoxCryptor Drive for all users also fixes the problem and the Multi-User Access feature can be used?
See this article for more information:

As QuickBooks is using a service to provide this feature it might require all users to have access to the QuickBooks database file.
