A lot of fuss has been made this week when it turned out the encryption keys generated by mega.co.nz may be less than random.

What does Boxcryptor do to ensure random key generation?

Hi,

We have information about the key generation mechanisms used by BoxCryptor in our Knowledge Base:

Basically, as BoxCryptor is native software, we can use secure random number generators provided by the operating systems which create cryptographically strong pseudo-random bytes (in contrast to JavaScript's Math.random which is used by Mega).
