I've just started using BoxCryptor and seriously considering it as my primary solution which allows to use clouds securely.
At present time I do use it on my Windows laptop and on my Mac Air. It works perfectly with Yandex.Disk (Russian cloud service) with a limited storage but does not work with Bitcasa (I've started using recently).
Initially I've created an encrypted directory in the Bitcasa on the Windows laptop and it was fine. I've seen it at Mac but was unable to mount it.
So I've created a folder in the Bitcasa virtual drive on the Mac. It was created indeed, required files for EncrFS were created as well. But it can't be mounted even in such case.
That's why I have to store only limited amount of data encrypted with the BoxCryptor (Yandex.Disk is limited)
Regarding documents I'm going to store in the cloud I can mention 2 types:
1. My work data synchronized between computers (they are present on the hard drives for immediate use and in the cloud)
2. My private documents (scans of the important documents, photos, etc) which may be located in Bitcasa for the "virtual access" without caching this huge amount of data on all my computers (as the main idea of Bitcasa is to be a virtual hard drive when data is accessible as from an HDD but being actually in the cloud)
My another suggestion is to modfy the approach to the MAC version.
I mean on the Windows machine I can access a virtual drive letter to see an origianl document and also a direct access to a directory with encrypted dcouments. I can see them, I can copy them from that directory to the USB stick, to the cloud, etc.
So I can choose to work with encrypted or decrypted representation of the document.
But on the Mac even accessing a directory I'm being immediately directed to the "Boxcryptor device" which provides me unencrypted version.
It's not a serious issue but I'd like to have the same features on Windows and Mac (for example for sceduled syncing encrypted files to the cloud whih is now possible on Win but impossible on Mac).
