• Android App - Performance

Hey,

as mentioned many times before by Mail, I try to find like-minded people here :)

On the whole, Boxcryptor is a nice way, to keep your data safely in your preferred Cloud-Storage (GoogleDrive in my case).

Unfortunately the performance of the Android-App is horrible - imho a no-go.
You have to wait every time you change a folder no matter if you have visited the folder before or not, because the App reads the whole folder-content (index) every time.

Why is the Google-Drive-App able to do this faster?

I think, it saves a checksum for every folder and only if this checksum differs, it will reload the directory.

Looking forward to some improvements on this issue :)

Best regards

    Hi Sascha,

Some sort of "directory cache" is definitely on our ToDo-list, but we have not yet found the development resources to implement this.

    Best,
    Robert
