Windows 8: Can't open BC interface (it's running)

Hi,

I've just logged out another user and logged myself onto my Windows 8 account. One of my BC folders is mounted correctly (the one that's mounted automatically, for all users I think). It's the first time I'm logging in since a restart.

Now I can't access the BC interface. There is no BC symbol on the desktop notification area, and when I start BC from the Start Menu it only opens Windows Explorer on the already mounted drive. Any ideas how I get the interface to show?

I'm using the version 1.5.409.147.

There are problems with .147 and Win8.
Use this instead: https://www.boxcryptor.com/download/BoxCryptor_v1.5.409.148_Setup.exe

Hi,

BoxCryptor can only be run by one user on a computer. If you started BoxCryptor with another user account, you have to log into that same user account and exit BoxCryptor. Then you can log out and log in with your user and start BoxCryptor.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I had properly logged out of the other user account, not used account switching. It would be great to have some way of controlling BoxCryptor even in those circumstances.

Anyway, I have installed version .148, and after the reboot it worked as expected. Thanks for that suggestions, too.
