• Filezilla server can't use boxcryptor folder

Hi all, did some searching but haven't found anyone else with this problem.

I've set up a filezilla FTP server on my computer that has a boxcryptor drive mapped to an encrypted folder.

I've added a subdirectory of the boxcryptrr drive as the home directory for an FTP user and set the permissions to allow full control of the folder (read/write/create subdirectories etc). However, it appears filezilla can't see/read/write or do anything in that folder once I FTP in via the client. Directory listings "dir" come back blank.

It works file with regular folders on the computer. Also, the boxcryptor folder sits on top of a dropbox directory. If I use a dropbox folder that is not encrypted (ie, outside of boxcryptor), filezilla works fine too. It's only boxcryptor folders that filezilla has problems with.

Filezilla is set to run as a service, with an account that has administrative privileges. I've tried setting the folder to be mounted a fixed drive and it makes no difference. I am also able to replicate the problem on a different computer.

Anyone here get any FTP server working on top of a boxcryptor folder?

Thanks.

just "Mount for all users" (in advanced options of that drive) if you have no privacy concerns (no 3rd users/services on your server)
