What I hated most back in the days when I actively developed software were posts like "your software is crap" (not saying _why_ it was), right after that "your software crashed" (not mentioning the slightest hint about the crash).
Whereas I forget myself in every other bug report or help request the one or the other detail you might, as a very first and absolutely necessary step to be helped, want to read "How to Report Bugs Effectively" (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html). It reduces the developers load and so raises your chance to get help at all and in every case helped _you_ being helped faster.
