How to register through a proxy

Hello,

I "living" behind a proxy server, i.e. cannot directly connect to the internet. How can I login to boxcryptor?

Same problem for me. I registered for a free account from my private laptop. Now I want to share the data on my company pc. However, that lives behind a proxy. The proxy is configures in IE, but that doesn't help.

I've tried to create a local account on the company pc, using the same user and password. I can then see the encrypted files on Dropbox in green. However, I cannot open them.

So, I tried to convert this local account to a Boxcryptor account (Settings -> Account -> "Change your account details" or "Convert to Boxcryptor account". However, both just open some boxcryptor web pages in the browser.

No clue how to proceed from here.

Please download and install the latest version v2.0.401.229 which we released last week. We added support for the default proxy configuration in Windows (defined in internet options):

PS: @PHolzwarth: Converting a local account to a Boxcryptor account is not yet available. But you can go the other route: Login to the Boxcryptor web interface with your free account and export the keys of your Boxcryptor account to a key file which you can then use as a local account.

Hi Robert,

thanks for the file. However, still no success. After uninstalling the previous software, installing the file provided here and rebooting the computer, I still get "Login not successful - Boxcryptor server not available. Please try again later" (translated from German).

Sould the version given also support proxy servers that require username/password authentication?

Thanks for your help, but I have exactly the same problem, working under proxy, even after installation of last Boxcryptor version (2.0.402.252). Do you plan to fix such a problem?
