I am using Sugarsync and Dropbox. I have a Sugarsync folder called Magic Briefcase on my C: drive and my S: drive. I have a Folder on my C: drive and within my Magic Briefcase folder called Sites. This Sites folder is also within my X: drive for Boxcryptor within the Magic Briefcase folder.

When I right click on the Sites folder within my X: drive to encrypt it, Boxcryptor creates a folder called Sites_encrypted. When I delete a file from my C:\documents\Magic Briefcase\Sites folder the file is NOT deleted from my Sites_encrypted folder on my X: drive. It is deleted from the non encrypted Sites folder on my X: drive.

Why is a duplicate folder created with the foldername_encrypted on the X: drive?

I'm not really sure how to manage this activity when I delete a file from my Magic Briefcase folder on my C: drive. How do I get these changes propagated to my encrypted folder on my X: drive?

Shouldn't you work within of the Boxcryptor drive X?!
As far as I understand your application has to access to the files on X and not to the files on C or S. If your app does not allow to set the sites folder manually to drive X then you have a problem by design.

When you encrypt a folder in the X: drive, Boxcryptor creates a new folder with the same name plus "_encrypted", encrypts the files and stores them in the "_encrypted" folder.

If everything went fine, the original folder is deleted so that you only have the "_encrypted" folder.
If there was a problem, the original folder is _not_ deleted - for example when a file in the original folder could not be read because it is already opened by another application.

I'd recommend to delete the "_encrypted" folder, make sure that no other application is accessing the files in the original folder and re-try the encryption process. At the end you should only have the "_encrypted" folder.

Robert I deleted the previous encrypted folder and deleted the folder from Magic Briefcase. I then added the Sites folder manually via Settings | Add and then pointed to C:\Sites.

The file was added to X: without any issue.

I now want to encrypt that folder which as two subfolders, let's call them Folder A and Folder B. When I click on the Parent folder which is Sites, I am not given the option to encrypt this folder. The only option given is Settings. However, I am given the option to encrypt Folder A and Folder B.

Why am I not given the option to Encrypt the Parent folder?

I right clicked on Folder A and Folder B to encrypt these folders. What I get is Folder A_encrypted and Folder B_encrypted. The original unencrypted folders are not deleted.

What am I doing wrong here. I also had a folder that was created that had alot of Chinese characters as the folder name. This folder did not have any files in it. When I went to delete this file, I got the blue screen and had to do a hard reset.
