Android App v2 "Toggle Folder Selection" For Upload -- Folders Not Uploaded

When I select "Upload" the menu gives me an option "Toggle Folder Selection" to select a folder to upload and then try to upload it, I get an "Upload Complete With Errors" message, and the folder is not uploaded. If I select some single files and some folders, only the single files get uploaded.

it is not possible to upload complete folders because it can cause much traffic and slows down the system. Unfortunately it seems that there are some checks missing which prevent the upload browser from selecting folders to upload. We will check this internally how to improve this.

OK; thanks. I'd prefer to keep the option of selecting entire folders if possible (possibly with a warning about the bandwidth, processor load, and battery life issues), but I can see the case against it.
