No Green Checkmark

I have Windows XP and have encrypted the files using Boxcryptor v. 2.0.413.343 by going to Dropbox, right clicking on the folder as well as each file in the folder and selectiing
Boxcryptor > Encrypt.

The text turns green but there is no green checkmark by the folders or files.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I'm assuming you're referring to the green Dropbox checkmark which indicates the sync status of a file/folder. These "overlays" are only shown in the "real" Dropbox folder (e.g. C:\Users\USERNAME\Dropbox) but not in the virtual Boxcryptor Drive. So it is totally ok that you don't see them.
