Cannot login

Hi,

I have been using Boxcryptor for some time now, but suddenly today I was unable to login and receive an error message. What could be the cause of this?

Could you please provide some more details? On which platform (Windows, Mac, etc.) are you using Boxcryptor and which error message do you receive?

I could not find any logs, so I had to write down the error message myself:

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Security, Version=4.0.0.0,Culture=neutral, "PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. Old version error.(Expection from HRESULT:ox80131107)"

I'm using Windows. It is a very cryptic error message, with the exception of the last part, indicating that it might have something to do with an old version; however, I tried updating the client without any result.

Anyone else who can help? I cannot access my files and this is becoming quite urgent.

I don't know how to start a topic here so here I am :P

I downloaded the program for my PC - it is damn great ! Good work guys !!

But I do need it on my mobile phone as well, but it says "bad credentials" when I want to log in.
I tried to log in on the webpage to check my linked devices, but was not able to do so.
It always says, that my username is unknown. I don't know which username, I just had to write an email adress to register myself !

This adress does not work though.

Update: I logged out of the PC program and cannot log back in... It worked a few seconds ago but not now :x

Whats wrong with me ? :(

It looks like there is a problem with your .NET installation ("Could not load System.Security"). Boxcryptor requires a working and functional Microsoft .NET 4.0 install. A first start to repair your .NET installation could be the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool which you can download from Microsoft's website:

Your email-address is your username. When logging in, please be aware that the email-address is case-sensitive (it does matter which characters are upper or lower case). I just checked your account and your email-address is starting with an upper case character.
