In Boxcryptor Classic on the Mac, when you enable spotlight, it also automatically enables 'Mount as local disk' and 'Mount for all users', and does not allow those options to be unchecked.
The problem with this is that now all users on the Mac will have access to the mounted volume, which is of course a big security problem.
From what we understand, in order to get Spotlight to work, only the following options need to be enabled:
-o local (Mount as local disk)
-o allow_root (Mount for root user)
However, the 'Mount for root user' option seems to be missing in the Boxcryptor Advanced Options window.
1. Could you add the 'Mount for root user' option ('-o allow_root') to the Boxcryptor Advanced Options window for Boxcryptor Classic on the Mac, to resolve this major security issue ASAP?
2. Once that option is added to the Boxcryptor Advanced Options window, then please ensure that when 'Enable Spotlight' is enabled, then only the 'Mount as local disk' and 'Mount for root user' are automatically enabled (and not allowed to be disabled), while the 'Mount for all users' option should remain untouched and still modifiable.
3. While waiting for the updated version of Boxcryptor Classic to be released, is there anything we can do (i.e. via some kind of Boxcryptor config file) to allow Spotlight to be enabled with '-o allow_root' but without 'Mount for all users'?
Many thanks!
