Adding OneDrive Folders on Bitcryptor drive to Windows 8.1 libraries doesn't work

I've put my main pictures folder into an Bitcryptor folder on my OneDrive. I'm able to access it via the Boxcryptor drive letter.

When trying to add the pictures folder (X:\data\pictures) to the pictures library on my Windows 8.1 machine it's first listed in the library places of the library properties windows, but after closing the library properties with OK it somehow gets removed from the library places.

Is this somehow connected to Bitcryptor, or should it usual be possible to add a Bitcryptor folder to Windows libraries.

I'm having the same problem in Windows 10. I use Boxcryptor Classic, and I can't add my encrypted drive (Q:) to the libraries.

I'm sorry, but it is currently not possible to use the Boxcryptor drive as a location in the built-in Windows 8.1/10 photos app.

After 3 years: Is there an update regarding this? To not having pictures stored on boxcryptor in the Windows photos app is a big disadvantage.
