OSXFuse version mismatch if Homebrew on OSX 10.9.4 is used

Hi,

I tried to use the OSXFuse package provided by Homebrew. Unfortunately, Boxcryptor won't accept the installed version, 2.7.0. When starting Boxcryptor, a pop up with the following message appears:

"The OSXFUSE library version this program is using is incompatible with the loaded OSXFUSE kernel extension"

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Did you try if simply restarting your Mac fixes this problem?

Hi Robert,

yes, I tried that. Didn't work. Uninstalled the Homebrew version for now and reverted to the previously by Boxcryptor installed version of OSXFuse. Not an ideal solution, 'brew doctor' now always complains about the OSXFuse files in '/usr/local/lib'.

Hi Hendrik,

Maybe you want to try the new v2.1 beta version of Boxcryptor for Mac OS X. In this version we have replaced OSXFUSE with our own implementation so that it does not use OSXFUSE anymore.
