I used the Boxcryptor File Explorer context menu to encrypt a series of folders, which went without any errors. However, when I try to access them, I get a series of error messages and the folders are not able to be opened. Pragmatically, I've lost the content of these folders.
While I've taken screenshots of the error messages, there is no facility to attach them. The 2 error messages I received, in text, are:
"You need to format the disk in Drive X before you can use it. Do you want to format it?"
After clicking on the cancel button, I get this:
"<Folder being accessed> is not accessible. A device attached to the system is not functioning."
There are a couple of encrypted folders that are accessible without any issues, so it would seem its not an overall issue with the Boxcryptor drive itself, but rather at the encrypted folder level. Lastly, when I look at the properties on each of the affected folders, it show as 0 size and 0 files.
I've restarted the laptop several times, to see if that would help but no change in behavior
At this point, I've lost the contents of those folders, which makes the product extremely dangerous to use.
