Local account confusion

I created a local account for my boxcryptor installation. Now when I open the app it asks me to log in. I use the local@boxcryptor.com email and it says "login failed: user not found". What am I doing wrong here? Do I need to create an online account eventhough I'm using the software locally?

After reading through the user guide I tried creating an online account but I cannot use my online account to get into my local account. When I try to log into my local account using the correct password I'm still getting the same error.

Same issue here under iOS: Opening the keyfile and clicking "Copy to Boxcryptor" leads me to the "Sign In" screen instead of Boxcryptor Local on my iPhone 6. Using "local@boxcryptor.com" displays the error message that this is not a valid user. I tried to copy keyfile from email attachment and Google Drive. There is no way to add the local keyfile and a provider.

Boxcryptor still works for me under Windows 7 and 10. Have used it for three years, but out of luck now on iOS 9.
