• What prevents folder deletion after encryption with OneDrive?

I am using Boxcryptor with OneDrive. Boxcryptor consistently cannot delete my folders when I encrypt them. I have to do so manually. Is there a reason for this occurring. It's not the end of the world, but an extra step.

I'm also seeing some issues with Boxcryptor stating it cannot write to the drive root. Usually existing Boxcryptor and restarting it fixes the problem.

I'm on Windows 7 64-bit latest updates.

Thanks,
Rob

    Hi Rob,

This failing delete of folders after encryption is a known issue and has been fixed in the current beta of Boxcryptor for Windows v2.1 which you can download here:

    https://www.boxcryptor.com/l/download-windows-beta

Sometimes third-party applications try to write to the Boxcryptor drive root and this can trigger this message. If you can reproduce it, a debug log could tell us which application is trying to write there and we can remove the message for this case. More information about debug logs:

    Best regards,
    Robert
