In Windows 8.1, when I try to encrypt a file, I get an error:
"Failed to open pipe. Please contact our support.
Error Code: 2"
I also cannot save to the mapped drive. I get a generic error about the device isn't functioning.
Any suggestions?
Hi,
Please ensure that Boxcryptor is not executed with administrator rights (e.g. via "Run as Administrator"). This problem can occur if Boxcryptor is executed under a different user account than the currently logged in user.
Best regards, Robert
Boxcryptor is not running as an administrator. It starts automatically when I log in. I also restarted it to make sure it wasn't asking for admin permissions.
When I tried to exit the app I got a .Net error. (I had to kill it with task manager) I do not see anything in the event viewer logs. If there was a log somewhere, I'll be happy to send it.
Thanks for your help.
Mike
I would like to get a response to this.
When I try to launch BoxCryptor from the system tray, the menu says "Mouting..." and I cannot launch the BoxCryptor settings. When trying to look at the about box it goes very slow and un-responsive.
