Remove encypt option from windows or mac shell

Hi, we are trying to implement boxcryptor as a solution for our confidential files that we store on box.com. We have setup our users on box in such a way that they do not have access to their root level. With this setup leads to numerous workflow issues with boxcryptor. One of which is if I want to share an encrypted folder out to a couple of users through box, the user can potentially re-encrypt the folder which causes it to create a new folder and delete the old. Because the user doesn't have access to their root on box.com, box sync never writes up to the box.web site and thus none of the other users will have access to the newly encrypted folder. I'm trying to prevent that accidental re-encryption of a already encrypted folder.

Hello bcuser10,

unfortunately, fine grained functional restrictions like this are currently not possible. We have this feature as a suggestion on our roadmap for a future release, but I can't give you a guarantee that it will actually be implemented, or when.
For your situation, the best way seems to be propper training, to make your users aware of this limitation.
