Automatically added locations

Hi,

How do I stop Boxcryptor from magically searching for "new locations" and automatically adding them? According to the documentation, I cannot remove an automatically added location.

This issue is occurring when I use memory cards in a memory card reader. Boxcryptor starts copying it and encrypting it on my hard drive, and I do not want this. I never asked for this!!! I just want to download my photos and eject the card.

I am using Windows 8.1 with Boxcryptor Personal, running whatever the latest version would be via automatic updating.

Hi jeremyk399,

we will implement a new feature allowing to disable the auto-detection of USB sticks and network drives.
Unfortunately I can't name an exact date on this.

Hi there,

You need to deal with this ASAP! This causes a very serious problem! Everytime I add a USB stick, it is automatically added to my boxcryptor locations. If I remove the stick (unsafely) then this causes boxcryptor to loose its drive letter!

This is a very serious problem that can cause a chain of other problems!

So you really, really need to stop this automatic operation.

Please hurry up, this has caused me enough problems already!!!
