Access your cloud space from various computers

Hi,

it's time to me to look for encryption, but have not yet dealt much with it. I'm trying to find out, how I could achieve, what I need: To upload/encrypt and download/decrypt to/from my cloud space (Onedrive) from all over the world. Since cloud space means "access to your documents from everywhere" it is no option to install software prior to access your documents on any computer, you access the internet from in the future. You simply don't want to and cannot install anything on the computers of your friends, in the office or at the Internet Cafe in your holiday resort. Can Boxcryptor help in any way to achieve this?

Because of the cloud provider independent encryption you will always need some software to encrypt and decrypt. The least invasive software boxcryptor offers is a google chrome browser plugin you will need to install.

This is not unique to boxcryptor but is a consequence of using client side encryption. As the word suggests it encrypts en decrypts files on the client side, Thus the client needs software to accomplish this.

There are some cloud storage providers that use javascript in the browser to encrypt/decrypt files but that is inherently a lot less secure than the boxcryptor approach.
