I have a brand new (paid) installation running on Windows 7, all the latest updates.
When moving folders into the X drive, I'm getting 200-300KB/second, which is /atrociously/ slow. Just ridiculously unusably slow. I have to assume that it will still be this slow when opening and closing data files. In other tests, I'm getting 30KB/second!
I certainly understand that there is some overhead associated with encryption, but slowing file transfers down by a factor of 50-100 or more is not remotely reasonable. Something must be wrong. What could it be?
The good news is that on a different machine, a fast Win10 with SSD, I get about 10MB/sec. Which is still very slow but at least more reasonable.
Any ideas what's wrong?
