Hi,
I am currently evaluating Boxcryptor (portable) with Debian Jessie.
The GUI is nice and works as expected.
But I have no option to mount a clouddrive folder to use the files in Debian.
Do I oversee something?
Best regards Sven
Hi Sven,
Put briefly, you are right. The portable client has no "desktop integration" like Boxcryptor for Windows / OSX. With respect to it's functionality it is comparable with our mobile clients.
Kind regards, Florian
Sad to hear! So it is more or less not usable for Linux Users.
why do you think it is not usable for Linux Users? You can download files with Boxcryptor Portable so you can use it. Otherwise you have the possibility to add a local folder to Boxcryptor Portable. So if you can mount your cloud drive in Debian, you could just add the folder as provider.
Kind regards, Nicole
Hi Nicole,
I can mount my cluddrive with acd_cli. But not with Boxcryptor. This feature is missing.
You can add any folder on your computer to Boxcryptor Portable. If you mount your clouddrive with acd_cli you have a folder with your clouddrive data on your hard disk. To add this folder to Boxcryptor you have to choose "Local Storage" on the "Add Provider" view. Then you have to choose your cloud drive directory and you are done.
Any update on this topic?
is somehow possible to set a mountpoint for linux users (on a headless server...) that is used to upload file to the provider with boxcryptor?
