Can't add large file (4GB?) to Boxcryptor folder

Hi,

I am currently trying to add a large file (5,2 GB) to my Boxcyptor encrypted Dropbox folder. I am getting the following error:

Das Objekt "..." kann nicht kopiert werden, da es für das Volumeformat zu groß ist.

("The object cannot be copied because it is to large for the volume format (?).")

When I add the file directly to the Dropbox folder (unencrypted) there is no problem.

I am on Mac OS X.

Any advice?

Hi mike,

This sounds like a problem with the underlying file system format of your volume. Note that some file systems like Fat32 only support file sizes up to 4GB.
If your file system should allow larger files, let us know so we can track down the issue.

Hi Florian,

thank you for your response. The underlying file system is HFS (Apple).

As I stated adding the file directly to the encrypted Dropbox folder works without problems.
