I experience this for over a year now: when I let MS Office or Acrobat create a PDF file from any file and directly save it into a BC encrypted place, then the creating of the PDF takes ages, like 2-3 min. for 30 slides or so.
When I create the very same PDF under 'Desktop' it takes 10 seconds.
This effect should be totally reproducable.
Can I do something about that, it's so annoying having to save first to the Desktop and then moving the file to the destination folder...
