I would like to talk about an issue that annoys me since I first used Boxcryptor:
I am using it on my Laptop, so my System moves around frequently, including places without network connection at all.
At home, i am synching a local folder to a Boxcryptor folder on my NAS, which then is synched to OneDrive as a secure, offsite backup.
At this point, the trouble begins:
Boxcryptor searches for new locations on every startup. Thus, it always forgets the network shares (smb shares e.g.) all the time. Once i leave my house and come back later, i have to manually add the smb share again to the boxcryptor storage locations. WHY?
What i would expect:
Boxcryptor keeps memory of the network shares etc and does not change or forget them automatically. It should "re-map" them, if the connection comes back, but keep them so that they won't be lost everytime. This is so annoying...it works with Dropbox (because it creates a local folder of course), but why can't it mimic the same behaviour with network shares?
What i tired so far:
Start Boxcryptor via Windows Task Planner and run only when a specific Network (my home's) is connected, but this does a) not work if the computer goes to standby or shutdown (network location is lost), and it does not shut down Boxcryptor properly upon Hibernation etc.
Do you have any ideas to fix this?
