Restrictions on (UNencrypted) file names?

I use the free version; so, no encryption of names, fine. However, BC runs into issues if the file names have spaces and/or names of files which used to be there but are not any more. For example, if I have "master plan", I receive a "cannot be decrypted for some reason" message but "masterplan" is fine.

On the second point, if I rename "apple" to "banana" and add a new file called "apple" which is different than the original "apple", opening the new "apple" presents the original one instead.

If relevant, all of this is happening on iOS 10.

So, the question is: are there restrictions on allowed file names?

this is a strange behavior and might be related to the Boxcryptor cache on iOS.

May you be so kind to submit a ticket to us via support@boxcryptor.com?
I would like to analyze this behavior in depth.
