I have historically used a program on my PC called Allway Sync to back up files to an external HDD. I now use Amazon Cloud Drive to back up and have been using Allway Sync to copy the files over to an encrypted folder. The files are all encrypted but I want the filename to be encrypted also, but am finding that although I have the global setting for Enable Filename Encryption ticked in Advanced Settings, I have to right mouse click on the filename and select 'Enable Filename Encryption' in the Boxcryptor drop down box to get the filename munged to a load of Asian characters. I was under a naive understanding that if I ticked Enable Filename Encryption ticked in Advanced Settings it would do it automatically. Am I missing something? Seems like a manual process is required but I was hoping for it all to be automatically done. Am I asking too much?
