Hello everyone,
being fairly new to boxcryptor I'm trying to get my secure cloud using Amazon Cloud Drive. (https://www.boxcryptor.com/en/blog/post/boxcryptor-now-supports-amazon-cloud-drive/)
So far everything works fine, however, I'm encountering the following problem:
The Amazon Cloud Drive app does not provide a "network folder" like Dropbox or OneDrive, but instead synchronizes everything to my local hard drive.
Getting Boxcryptor to work with Amazon Cloud Drive without having a local (encrypted) copy is my goal, but I only found the following two solutions:
- use the portable version of Boxcryptor, like it was done before Amazon released the mentionned software (apparently really slow)
- use some software called "Gladinet" mentionned in a lot of older blogposts around the web (isn't available anymore?!)
I would really appreciate if someone could share a working solution for this problem!
Also, why isn't the desktop version using amazons api to access the cloud directly like the portable version does?
