Hi, I use Boxcryptor 2.0 in conjunction with Google Drive under Android 6.0. Although I can open, edit and save encrypted files, I have been completely *unable to encrypt an existing file*. Help would be _very much_ appreciated!

Currently it is not possible to encrypt existing files with Boxcryptor for Android. You have to download and upload your files again to encrypt them.
