For years I had a small notebook with truecrypt. For frequent travels I always copied documents ... from PC to Notebook and back.
The notebook died and I bought a Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 and Office 365. The obvious solution to avoid the copying forwards and backwards is to use OneDrive in combination with boxcryptor on the notebook, PC and on my smartphone.
I know that my Notebook is encrypted with bitlocker. Does it make sense to switch off bitlocker and install veracrypt to encrypt my whole notebook (system disk), e.g. to prevent theft, and to use bitlocker to encrypt the contents of OneDrive to keep my data confidental in the cloud.
Is that encrypption overkill, am I paranoid ?
