how to encrypt and decrypt manually?

Hi,
I want to know if I can manually follow a procedure to encrypt a file and obtain the same file as boxcryptor encrypts it.
what about the decryption?

We do currently not have any documentation how to this can be achieved without using Boxcryptor. In the future, we might add such information to our technical documentation which you can find here:

this means that there is no way to audit how Boxcryptor is working. given private key and password anybody should be able to decrypt a Boxcryptor-encrypted file, otherwise there might be a backdoor. It is vital if you want to remain closed-source.

I second this request.
A worked example in the documentation using an open-source encryption suite, perhaps on a Linux platform, would boost Boxcryptor's credibility.

I also confirm what has been said above. It would be very useful to share a documentation which explains in detail the encryption methods used. It must be possible to decrypt a Boxcryptor file knowing: boxcryptor keyfile, header of encrypted file, password for the user's private key. I guess it must be pretty simple to do this.
