I installed Boxcryptor yesterday and got it all set up on both of my computers. Everything seemed great. It seemed perfect for my needs. Now, it is immediately crashing every time I try to open it! I've already tried restarting the computer, and also uninstalling / reinstalling the software. I'm running it on Windows 10 64-bit. The version is 2.15.578. I am at my wit's end!!!
unfortunatly, I have the same problem. After starting BC, Wind7pro64 tells me, BC is not running correctly and I have to close BC. Of course, I tried re-Installation und re-start.
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that we have been able to identify the cause for the crashes and they will be fixed in the upcoming version of Boxcryptor for Windows (~ 1-2 weeks).

Hi, I seem to have the same problem. I tried version 2.16.629.0, but it's still the same. Whenever I start BoxCryptor I see the process running for a few seconds in Task Manager before it closes. A .seclog file is created on the Desktop. In the .seclog I see the following message: "Unhandled Exception: ECBFSError"
Hi micwin75,
thanks for your information.
The issue seems to be related to the CBFS driver (CallBackFileSystem by EldoS. The driver is used to create the virtual Boxcryptor drive. May you be so kind to contact our support directly via support@boxcryptor.com and provide them the debug log? Please also reference this thread in the email.
Thanks for your efforts.
Kind regards, Richard
