"Linking" of apps?

In BoxCryptor we can "link" external services. However linking does not seem to do anything. I don’t quite understand what it's for. The uploading of encrypted files is still done with the normal syncing apps of the various providers. There's no information available what the purpose of linking actually is. It does not seem to provide any benefit. So I'm wondering why it's presented so prominently in the user interface.

Hello Zettt,

the "Link" buttons in the interface are for "linking" Boxcryptor with Whisply, so one is able to send encrypted links directly from Boxcryptor.
The "Link" button appears only for Dropbox, Google Drive and One Drive, which are for the moment supported.
