Hi,
I encrypted a shed load of files (On a separate drive to the OS) and now am unable to open, move or copy any of them.
I had to recently re-install OS and before i did i unencrypted the files. However the file title text remained green. I did not test read the files before formatting the OS drive.
After reinstalling the OS (Win7 64) the file text remains green and now i am unable to read, copy or move them. I reinstalled Boxcryptor but Boxcrypter cannot read the files. I am also unable to encrypt.
The errors thrown up are:
"You'll need to provide administrator permission to copy the file",
after clicking continue i then get:
"You need permission to perform this action, You require permission from Computername\user to make changes to this file".
I am the only user with an admin account, i am the owner and retook ownership just incase.
Try again or cancel are the options.
any ideas on how to retrieve the files please?
