Cannot decrypt files using Boxcryptor or local access!

I recently had trouble with Boxcryptor with Windows 10 but got it to stop crashing on start with the help of the forum.

However, when I try to access my files now, they seem to either be encrypted with the wrong key or they're all corrupted. If I manually decrypt (right click on the file) and try to open any file, it won't open. Not a valid file.

Today I tried using a backup BC key I made recently with the local option. That key does not work. Is it possible my key got changed somehow with uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Boxcryptor application several times? I am worried that I have no access to my data. I don't think I saved the BC key when I first installed it years ago, but why would the key change? I have not changed my BC login or username.

Turns out the Windows application is not working in Windows 10 Insider Preview at the moment, even with suggested registry change from another thread. It loads and looks normal, but will not allow opening (decrypting) of any files.

Solution is to use the portable version for now:
