Will Boxcryptor Classic Unlimited continue to work in Windows 7 now Dropbox API V1 is discontinued?

I realised yesterday that the Android version of Boxcryptor Classic is no longer working due to Dropbox discontinuing support for their API V1.

Boxcryptor Classic (Windows) is no longer supported. However, if Dropbox make no further changes to their API, will Boxcryptor Classic continue to work please?

Hello Colin,

On Desktop operating systems (Windows / macOS), Boxcryptor Classic interacts only with your local file system and does not use any cloud storage API. If you continue to use an operating system which is supported by Boxcryptor Classic (e.g. Windows 7) and a Dropbox client is available, you will be able to use Boxcryptor Classic.

Why are ios devices no longer able to connect to dropbox using boxcryptor classic? When you try to connect you receive a network error 400.

The API update doesn't affect desktop use of boxcryptor classic to connect to dropbox. Does the API update affect the ability of ios devices to connect to dropbox with boxcryptor classic? The API update occurred several months ago. Why have ios devices been affected only recently?

I had the same problem using Dropbox and Boxcryptor Classic in IOS. It shows network error 400. Tried everything. Had to move all files to Onedrive. Everything Ok there. The problem is Dropbox changed its API access and BCClassic has no more updates.

As a Premium Technology Partner, Dropbox granted us an extended usage of their old v1 API so that the Boxcryptor Classic mobile apps would work as long as possible with Dropbox - even if other apps already stopped working. However, the v1 API now got even shut down for us.

I had the same problem using Dropbox and Boxcryptor Classic in IOS. It shows network error 400. I had also tried to move all files to Onedrive. But still not working. I haven't installed Boxcryptor Classic in window, I tried to download it but it is no longer available. Any suggested way to open my files which I urgently in need?

Is there any way around the network error 400 on Boxcryptor Classic app on iOS?? I desperately need my encrypted files in Dropbox and do not have access to the PC where my files are stored for another month... I tried installing the new Boxcryptor app and pointing it to my Boxcryptor Classic folder, but I was not prompted for an encryption password, and everything is still encrypted... Help!!
